Frequently Asked Questions

1) Who is The Fort for?

The Fort is for everyone.

Our Members range from 15 years old to 82 years old, all with different goals, backgrounds and abilities. In many ways, that diversity is exactly what makes The Fort so special.

Some people come to improve their fitness. Others come to build strength, confidence, routine, health, performance or simply to be part of a better environment.

The Fort is less of a conventional gym and more of a canvas — a place where different people, journeys and ambitions can coexist under one culture.

2) Is The Fort expensive?

“Expensive” is always subjective and means different things to different people.

We encourage you to view The Fort less as a monthly cost and more as an investment into your health, mindset, routine and environment.

Our pricing reflects the standards, atmosphere, coaching, cleanliness, structure and overall experience we work hard to provide.

Please visit our Pricing section for a general guide, and we strongly encourage you to contact us directly for more clarity on which services and memberships may best suit your goals and budget.

3) Can beginners join The Fort?

Absolutely.

You do not need to be fit, experienced or “gym ready” to join The Fort. Many of our Members started their journey feeling nervous, unsure or lacking confidence.

Our environment, systems and community are designed to help people settle in comfortably and progress at their own pace.

4) Is The Fort a commercial gym?

No.

The Fort was built to move away from the overcrowded, impersonal and intimidating commercial gym model.

We focus heavily on culture, environment, quality and experience — creating a space where people can train with intention and genuinely enjoy being here.

5) Do I need to book sessions?

Yes.

Our structured booking system is one of the main reasons The Fort maintains its calm atmosphere, cleanliness, high standards and semi-private feel.

The system helps regulate numbers and ensures Members consistently receive a better training experience.

6) What type of training can I do at The Fort?

Everything from general fitness and lifestyle training, to strength & conditioning, sports-specific performance, fat loss, mobility work and coach-led group training.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced athlete, there is space and support for your style of training here.

7) Is The Fort intimidating?

Not at all.

One of the things people say most after joining The Fort is how welcoming, relaxed and genuine the environment feels.

We have worked hard to create a non-saturated, non-intimidating and community-driven atmosphere where people can simply focus on themselves and their progress.

8) Can I try The Fort before becoming a Member?

Yes.

Our Induction Process and Induction Pass were specifically designed to allow people to experience The Fort properly before committing to membership.

This gives you time to explore the environment, systems, coaching and culture to see whether it genuinely feels right for you.

9) Is there parking available?

Controlled parking is available on-site and within the surrounding areas.

We will provide more specific parking details upon enquiry.

10) What is the Membership Commitment?

The Membership are reviewed annually. At this stage we look at your attendance, experience and progression to ensure the environment, culture and standards of The Fort continue to be upheld for everyone, by everyone involved.

All subscriptions are subject to a two-payment notification cancellation period.

11) Is there showers and chnaging facilities on The Fort?

The Fort unfortunately does not currently offer shower facilities.

However, we do provide private changing areas for Members and visitors to get changed comfortably.

12) What are the opening hours?

Please view the timetable on our booking app for the most accurate and up-to-date opening hours.

Alternatively, feel free to submit an enquiry for more information.

13) Can I film content in the gym?

Yes — content creation and filming are welcomed on The Fort.

We simply ask that all filming is carried out respectfully and with consideration for other Members using the facility.

For larger projects, podcasts, organised shoots or commercial content, you would have to arrange an appointment (please see Professional Services section).

14) Can anyone train on The Fort?
